The first webinar of the 2012 LGI Webinar Series focused on the initial step to finding opportunities for collaboration - getting units of goverment together to talk about it.  The webinar featured three speakers who shared their experiences with local forums that were established specifically to promote inter-government cooperation and collaboration.

Developing Public-Private Relationships

March 28, 2012 – 8:30 am – 3:15 pm, Pyle Center, Madison. Cost: $128.
In this workshop we identify the changing role of government in our communities, explore the foundations of an effective partnership, discuss the conditions that are most conducive to public-private partnerships, and explore a variety of alternative strategies to government service delivery. The Local Government Institute of Wisconsin, in partnership with the UW - Extension's Local Government Center, hosted a leadership workshop designed for local government leaders on April 28, 2011 at eleven sites across the state.
